Hannes Bergdoll

Although he doesn't come from a traditional winemaking family, he studied viticulture and oenology in Neustadt and subsequently trained at top wineries. He has been working organically in his own vineyard for 10 years.

Hannes combines cellar expertise, a completely natural approach to the vineyard, and a love for the soil and our environment. He uses cow horn manure, compost teas, and promotes biodiversity on the slopes. The grapes are harvested entirely by hand in several passes. The wines are then bottled unfiltered and sold with the lees still present in the bottle.
