As we set off for Großkarlbach in the Palatinate region, the area, with its rows of cypress trees and warm climate, seemed almost Mediterranean. We were then greeted by a particularly sunny disposition: Georg Lingenfelder. His family has been making wine on his vineyard, with its large courtyard and beautiful linden trees, for 14 generations, and Georg launched his own line in 2020.

During the harvest, Georg gave us a warm and, as always, cheerful welcome. He remained calm and collected, treated us to Saumagen (a traditional German dish), and beat us at table tennis. But when you follow him down to the cellar and hear him talk about his wines, you also get to know his serious and thoughtful side. Georg studied geology and, after graduating, went traveling. He now applies his knowledge to viticulture, focusing on healthy soils and terroir-driven wines. In a very short time, Georg has established a clear and recognizable style, bottling wines with extended maceration, oak contact, and natural cloudiness.
The result can be tasted in the glass: sociable yet complex wines, full of stories.

Available for tasting at the Orange Cuvée (limited to 700 bottles)
